1966 Canadian Standard
1966 Canadian Standard Beetle, stalled project ready to move onto the next owner for finishing. This a true Canadian '66 standard, so it has minimal headliner, pope's-nose license plate light and other unique features. There is a thread on the samba highlighting the unique features of a 1966 Canadian Standard.
The body is rust free, with all necessary rust repairs completed. Main body shell has been painted in L360 Sea Blue to seal the metal work, but no clear has been sprayed. Fenders, hood, and rear apron still need to be painted. Main shell was sprayed to seal and protect metal work. Brand new premium rear apron included (to be welded on, or kept as a removable apron). Four German fenders are included, but will need work to be useable. Front fenders are reasonable, rears are fair.
Floorpan has been restored with new floor pans. All mechanical items (suspension and brakes) have been repaired/restored. Odometer shows 27,561 miles.
Fuel tank refurbished. ORIGINAL factory seats and covers in excellent shape. Bumpers are also included.
Numbers matching engine included, though disassembled. Engine serial number falls into correct date range. Second short-block included. Numbers matching engine was disassembled for inspection.
