Brantford Kinsmen Annual Car Show and Swap Meet – 2020

Brantford Kinsmen 47th Annual Car Show & Swap Meet

As we get gear up for one of the largest Car Shows in Southern Canada, at our Annual Car Show & Swap Meet there are many things to do.

We hope that the weatherman gives us a beautiful shinny day, but all we can do is hope for cause we just love to see all of our spectators and those beautiful shinny rides.

The Kinsmen Club of Brantford is always proud to hold our Annual Car Show & Swap Meet on the third Sunday in September.

This years show is on September 20, 2020 from 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m..

Through events like this, we raise greatly needed funds to support CYSTIC FIBROSIS and many community causes.

We are constantly praised yearly by the spectators and participants on our show. And look forward to seeing everyone and those sweet rides each and every year.

GermanAire – 2020

Air-Cooled Connection in association with Tuned Perfection presents the 1st Annual GermanAire Car Show and Social.

The June Jitterbug ran for many years, but sadly ended in 2019 due to medical issues by the organizer. Niagara GermanAire picks up where the June Jitterbug left off. This show will be at the same park, still in June, but on the weekend BEFORE Father’s Day. The organizers are well known in the air-cooled VW community and we’re eager to bring new life to this show.
Saturday will see the traditional cruise around the scenic Niagara Falls area. This will take approximately 3 hours. After the cruise, participants can relax at the host hotel or the campground and make some new VW friends while getting reacquainted with old ones.
Sunday is the show and swap meet. This year we will be adding a VW bus photo booth, in addition to more vendors offering clothing, art, and other VW related goodies. There will be an engine blow contest again, food trucks, games and activities for the kids, hood pull, push drags, and new this year- a LARGE gathering of air-cooled Porsches.

St-Georges Open – 2020

Événement annulé / Event Cancelled

(English below)

— Beau temps mauvais temps.

For a seventh edition, the extended St-Georges family invites you to open your 2020 Wesfalian season (Open) on the banks of the winding Rivière Noir, Ste-Émélie-de-l’Énergie, in Lanaudière. A collection of square boxes, without any affiliation to an “official” group. The madness of the holders of a VW on the nose, is the “easy” reason, of the meeting.

The conditions are simple. $ 20 per night per wess, payable to the campsite owner, upon arrival at the reception (cash please). You will then be directed to the official website, where St-Georges will welcome you with the 2020 sticker. They will beg you $ 10 per person, for reasons that are not your business. The pitches are without service. No reservation required.

As in other years, the Saturday supper will be all together, for communion at the same large table. On the spot, for you, the enticing cooks and their Big BBQ will prepare you various delicious 1A 3 star sausages and the famous grills that make you thirsty (Boucherie L’Ère Bête de Rawdon). Potatoes cooked in embers will also be waiting for you (Ferme Rivest-Bourgeois), but people are used to bringing their edible accompaniments (and drinkable of course …).

This year, the event takes a musical turn, because the westeux likes music. . . The St-Georges too!

* On Friday, Môssieu atmosphere with his yellow machine, DJ Michel Harvey will be on site, and will tickle your ears the age of your boat, according to the needs and his mood.
* On Saturday evening, back after a memorable performance last year, the Piano man Bernard Quessy and his keyboard, with his unifying musical talent …

. . . It’s a long text, but we finish with the answers to the usual questions.

— Rain or shine. The shelter option will be of added value, because 5 times out of 6, it rains at the St-Georges Open. If ever the site is inaccessible (Black River which has not taken over its bed, or deluge), we will move to the campsite, where there is space and a large marquee.

— Companion dogs, cats and others, must be kept on a leash. Children may be loose, but the river is high and the current strong. Increased surveillance is essential.

— Before the entrance to the St-Georges Open site, there are camping spaces (birch plateau), for those who unfortunately do not have westfalia.

— Although your friends are welcome at the Ste-Émélie campsite, at our big table, and around our late evening fires, the St-Georges Open favors the Westfalien. think about it!
